Code7Stories is a storytelling project inspired by the everyday courage and dedication of the Los Angeles Police Department.
In police radio codes, “Code 7” means a meal break — a rare pause in the middle of long, tense shifts.
For us, Code7Stories is that same pause — a moment to reflect, breathe, and explore the human stories behind the badge.

The series follows two main characters: Detective Jorge Bencovich and Officer Elena Martinez.
Bencovich is a thoughtful investigator driven by instinct and empathy, a man who carries the weight of every case long after it’s closed.
Martinez, his steadfast partner, is sharp, disciplined, and courageous — the kind of officer who turns chaos into order and never looks away from the truth.

Together, they patrol the unseen corners of Los Angeles — a city of light and shadow, where every call tells a story and every silence hides a secret.

Code7Stories is a tribute to the people behind the uniform, and to the quiet moments in between — when the radio goes still, and the story begins.
